Community Capacity Building

About this program
Lasting change does not come from one-off visits. It comes from local people who can keep the work going. Our Community Capacity Building program trains trainers, volunteers, and community leaders to deliver digital safety at the grassroots.
By equipping people who already know and trust their communities, we help safety spread further and last longer than any single campaign could on its own.

Why local capacity creates lasting impact
Communities trust their own. A trained local volunteer can reach people, in their own language and context, in ways an outside organisation never could.
Building local capacity turns a single program into a self-sustaining network, multiplying reach and ensuring support remains available long after we move on.
The ground this program covers
Train-the-trainer programs
Preparing local champions to confidently deliver digital-safety sessions themselves.
Volunteer networks
Building and supporting networks of volunteers who extend our reach.
Localised toolkits
Ready-to-use, context-appropriate material trainers can adapt to their community.
Ongoing mentorship
Continued guidance so new trainers grow in confidence and capability.
Sustainable delivery
Systems that let communities keep delivering safety education on their own.
How we run it
Identify local champions
We find motivated people already trusted within their communities.
Equip them thoroughly
Hands-on training plus toolkits they can confidently use and adapt.
Support, don’t replace
We mentor and back local trainers rather than doing the work for them.
Build for the long term
The goal is a network that continues delivering safety without us.
